According to the district attorney’s office, Marceles Scurlock (27), was gunned down and killed by his cousins late in the afternoon on 23 May 2018. He was outside a shop in the 1600 block Oakwood Street.

The three men argued on surveillance camera. Scurlock tried to leave but was stopped by Baskin. Baskin then grabbed him and hit Green in the head with a pistol. Baskin pistol-whipped him.
